AMERICAN SLIP METER®,Inc Industrial Measuring Devices ASM 825A DIGITAL STATIC COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION MEASURING KITS Made in USA
Let's clear the air on the postings about standards being withdrawn. The ASTM C1028 standard was withdrawn in 2014 and our operating manual was revised to reflect that. The NFSI B101.1 standard that the ASM 825A meter tests to HAS NOT BEEN WITHDRAWN. The standard is current and the meter continues to test to a nationally recognized standard. There are a lot of postings and a recent blog on Sure Step's website contains false information in stating the the C1028 is used by AmericanSlip Meter.
The ASM is not obsolte and to say that it is obsolete and irrelevant are false statements. It is anyones choice to pick the instrument and test method that best suits their needs. Please make sure you do your research on the information that is being presented out there on the web. There is a problem with individuals and companies drawing a line in the sand over standard orginizations and spread a lot of false information. They are trying to take away the consumers choices and write standards to force people to purchase a specific instrument.
THE NEW ADVANCED DIGITAL SLIP METER PERFORMS STATIC COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION TESTING. THE UPDATED ELECTRONICS IMPROVES ACCURACY AND REPEATABILITY ON WET TESTING. THE METER IS CALIBRATED FOR WET TESTING ON THE NFSI TEST TILE. THE ASM 825A METER RANKS THE ASTM F2508 4 TILE SET IN ORDER WITH THE REQUIRED STATISTICAL DIFFERENCE.
When it comes to floor testing or floor friction testing to monitor floor safety for slip and fall prevention, one needs a proven Tribometer or Slip meter to determine if a floor or walkway is safe. Our meters are proven. We have been manufacturing slip meters (tribometers) since 1993. Our meters are durable, reliable, repeatable and fully supported. Floor safety programs and floor testing together equals safe floors. Slip and fall prevention is our goal.
